Collaborative EP With The Hood Internet To Be Released April 2nd
Next week, on April 2nd, L.E.P. Bogus Boys will release a collaborative EP with fellow Chitown-reppers The Hood Internet. The project, TEHO, will clock in at eight songs, with The Hood Internet remixing and mashing-up a collection L.E.P. stand-out tracks released over the past few years. Before then, the duo of Count & Moonie are excited to release the latest visual from their Now Or Neva mixtape, “Claim My Shit.”
“Claim My Shit” is one of the most aggressive tracks from Now Or Neva, and the video, shot by Gregory Buissreth, who also shot “We Want Our Money,” is fittingly grimy, mixing performance clips of the guys in different hoods around the city with pictures of notorious Chicago gangsters. “Artists from other cities try to claim culture that’s not theirs,” explain L.E.P. on the inspiration behind the song and video. “This is just a message: it’s not so easy to claim our culture. Either you’re really part of it, or you’re not; it’s not a fashion statement.”
